Hey guys, can someone tell me in plain english what memory is supported by the DX79TO? DDR3-12800U? ECC?

Here is the supported configurations:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000006989/boards-and-kits/desktop-boards.ht...

I am trying to buy from this website for cheap memory:

https://www.bargainhardware.co.uk/components/memory-ram/server-and-workstation-ram-ecc/filter/ram-ty...

Any help at all is appriciated! Thanks!

I know but it's just finding the right type. For example, I still cannot figure out what type of memory bank it supports, 1RX4? 2XR4?

Also the article state it supports Unbuffered single & double sided DIMMs, but a few bullet points later it says it supports ECC memory? I though that was registered memory?

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, just frustrating 😔

The link I provided has 8gb and 16gb kits with their specifications.

You do not need ECC.

The first link you provided has a list of tested memory.

Do not over complicate this. And, do not spend a lot of time and money on this obsolete, discontinued board.
