Hi

I just finished my computer build and plugged it in for the first time. I connected to an HDMI TV and I turned it on. I see nothing however the board is receiving power and seems to be functioning correctly (case fan is running, motherboard light is on, cpu fan is running). I also hear no beeping noise from the board. I have also tried removing my memory modules (2*8gb) and booting up yet I still don't hear a beep. Any suggestions or thoughts, do I need to have a regular monitor connected through DVI when setting up my machine for the first time?

The board in question is DH77EB with an i5 3570k processor
