How do you measure speed? Thats a traditional mechanic drive, that speed is normal for sustained load - http://thepcenthusiast.com/wd-black-6tb-hdd-review/3/ WD Black 6TB Review (WD6001FZWX) - Larger Capacity Faster Performance HDD - Page 3

dz77ga-70k have two SATA Gen3 controllers: one in southbridge by Intel, and one in separate chip from Marvell. Grey ports are come from Marvell chip, and their performance can be limited. Unfortunately, no drivers for Marvell chip was found by me for current Windows versions.

Just plug it to SATA2 port. You will not loose anything, and even may get a boost in speeds, like it was in past: http://archive.benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=413&Itemid=38 Marvell SATA-6G SSD Performance vs Intel ICH10 | Marvell SATA-6G,SSD Performance,88SE9128,Intel ICH10,88SE9123,Marvell S…
