I'm having trouble installing a video card in my computer (specs. detailed below). Without the video card, everything works fine. I can boot into the OS without a problem, and I can even get into the BIOS setup screen.
But with the video card installed - and the HDMI cable plugged into it instead of the motherboard - I get the following:
Here are the video settings in the BIOS:
Hardware:
I know the computer works without this video card; I've also had it working before with a different video card (Nvidia GeForce GTX 580). I also know that this video card has worked before in a different computer.
Do I need to change the video settings in the BIOS to get this working? Should I update my BIOS?
If you are having compatibility problems, you should definitely make sure that your BIOS is fully up to date. In your case, you have BIOS 69 installed (meaning that you have never installed *any* updates). The latest available release is BIOS 111. That's a lot of BIOS releases that could have introduced fixes for compatibility issues. I definitely suggest that you upgrade your BIOS.

Try to chage primary display adapter from auto to external
Are you sure about the BIOS version?
When I look at https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/51998/Intel-Desktop-Board-DQ67EP this page, the latest version is 0069.
When I changed the primary display adapter to External, I still get the same results.
I just checket tested peripherals for this mailboard.Thjere is no v2.0 x16 nvidia cards on list.
There is a chance that PNY 750gtx works only on pci-x 16 v2.0 port.
Sometimes when you have two pci-x when you connect to second one graphic card works as x4.
Also Pny is knows for lack of bios updates to solve known issues with their gpus.
Also majority of gtx750 don't have aditional power connector and draws all the power from mainboard.
That's why it hangs on pci-x 1.0 x16 ports.
Maxwell, the page you are pointing to is for the DQ67EP board, but the picture you sent is the display from a DH77KC board????
You are correct N. Scott Pearson!
I've mixed up the boards.
Everything's working fine now that I've installed the correct BIOS (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27755/BIOS-Update-KCH7710H-86A-?product=59503 0111) for the correct board (https://ark.intel.com/products/59503/Intel-Desktop-Board-DH77DF DH77DF).
Thank you!
