I've been trying to locate this link to confirm whether an 8GB RAM upgrade is possible with an ACER 8920G currently 4GB. This is the ACER context https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/330940/acer-8920g-memory-upgrade. Customer Services at INTEL just want me to go back to ACER. HELP!!!!!!!!! I know the manual says it's NOT possible to do but this link was relevant to the discussion and I can't find it. Apologies if this is the wrong FORUM to send the query to.

The way for you to confirm what acer device can use is to contact acer. After all, it is THEIR device. Expecting Intel to know what every other motherboard and device will support is not realistic, or possible.
Also, this forum is for INTEL DESKTOP BOARDS.
So, why is the link gone? Because it is no longer needed and part of an old forum implementation.
However, Mr Peabody (if you are old enough to remember the cartoon), we can use the WayBack machine and grab a snapshop of the page:

If I were you, I would still contact ACER, as they are the ONLY ones who can confirm what you want. My GUESS, for something this old, is no, it will not work.

Good luck.
