That's my question. I won this mainboard but I already have a PC with a nice old Quad-Core with 3,8GHz.
So buying a new Quad-Core for about 280€ or a Hexa-Core for 500€ or even more would only make sense if I knew that those upcoming Ive-Bridge E series don't fit. I read a lot about them now and I know they'll also use the 2011-Socket. But does the chipset of the board support them at all? Would I need a BIOS-update? And can I update my BIOS without having a recognized CPU?
Lots of questions but I hope this makes things more clearly to me.
