Windows 7 on old Intel D845PESV: possible or not ?

Hello !

The Intel site signals that the D845PESV motherboard is not compatible with Windows 7.

I have a separated sound card.

I have a WiFi card separated

Questions:

Will the USB ports function with this old Intel chipset?

What are the other problems or impossibilities to install Win7 (in 32 bits) on this old D845PESV ?

Tank you !

Hi decop,

Let me help you with this.

The motherboard D845PESVis a discontinued product and we have drivers for Win XP as it is the latest Operating System it can support.

You may be able to install win 7 in your system but there are no drivers available for that Operating System so you may find performance issues or incorrect functionality due to missing drivers.

Hello Kevin!

Thank you for your answer.

Unfortunately she teaches me anything.

What I would like to know that is what doesn't function when one installs Windows 7 on this computer = it would be necessary that it is someone that made this work that answers to me.

I completely understand your situation. The motherboard is a discontinued product and there are no drivers available for Win 7 meaning that features on the board (controllers) may not work properly or at all.
