dh77kc does not recognize HighPoint RocketRaid 640 in PCIex4 slot

I cannot get the HighPoint RocketRaid 640 controller (a PCIe x4 card) to work in the PCIe x4 slot. It however works properly in the x16 slot. When in the x4 slot, sometimes the card is detected but most times it is not. The bios just does not show the card at all when it is not detected. The few times that it was detected, the bios showed it to be working at x1 mode. I have updated to the latest 108 bios but it has made no difference. I want to use my graphics card in the x16 slot and the RocketRaid in the x4 slot. Is this too much to ask from this motherboard?

Hi Khurram,

We would like to inform you that due to the design of Intel motherboards, the PCI Express* slots are not fully compliant to support RAID controllers, they might work or not work at all reason why we recommend testing with a different type of card to ensure the slots on the motherboard are working fine. We build our products to industry standards but there is still the possibility of incompatibility and this seems to be a compatibility case according to the information provided. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
