error 0_ in bottom right after changing msconfig

Hi, I got a virus on Windows 7 and tried to boot up in safe mode by changing MSCONFIG

Since checking "start in safe mode" it stopped booting up - it doesn't boot with windows DVD or bootable USB (I have made sure to change settings in BIOS to boot from these devices first)

It displays 0_ in the bottom right corner and goes no further. I believe the 0_ relates to intel motherboard.....

I have an i7 processor - not sure about the rest of the specs as a friend built this, is there any way I can find the specs from BIOS?

Anyone with any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks

Coffeee,

You can get the specs from the main BIOS window. Down at the bottom there is a Systems Information selectable option that will show you some basic specs. However, you should be able to find the other specs on various other BIOS pages.

As another edit to my systems specs. I have the latest 2209 BIOS installed. It was what I was running prior to the crash as well.

Ok so I am having same problem. I noticed that I had the RightSurf adware on my machine. Of course, Norton Internet Security could not detect it. Even their PME cleaner doesn't recognize it.

Antivirus software miss such things as adware. It is recommend to use special antimalware tools like malwarebytes or adwcleaner. Sad antiviruses also pass on serious threats like ransomware like cryptowall, ctb-locker and other - http://soft2secure.com/knowledgebase/ctb-locker http://soft2secure.com/knowledgebase/ctb-locker We should be carefull these days
