Hello Ham09:

In regard to your inquiry, I just wanted to let you know that we do have a list of compatible devices with the Intel® DZ77SL-50K board, where you will be able to see a list of tested video cards that should work with the board:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/desktop-boards/000008421.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/desktop-boards/000008421.html

Now, if the video card that you are going to use is not listed there, it does not mean that it will not work, but, basically the way in order to find out if it is compatible with the board will be by testing it with the motherboard, that way you will know for sure, let me apologize for any inconvenience on this matter.

When you are going to use a new video card, we always recommend to do a BIOS update to the latest version.

Instructions to do a BIOS update using the F7 method:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/desktop-boards/000005724.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/desktop-boards/000005724.html

And this is the .BIO file needed to do the update to version 0097 which is the latest:

Any questions, please let me know.

Thank you for the quick response.

I am using the exact bios version which you mentioned. I checked the list and it it soo outdated. I have a request that please update it if you can. Or please atleast check gtx 900 series (gtx 960, gtx 970, gtx 980, gtx 980 ti) compatibility with this motherboard for me please..

And i know that intel have closed the support for my motherboard but it will be very helpfull if you guys release another bios update because there are tons and tons of new hardware available after 2013 (last bios update for intel dz77 sl50k was released in 2013) so there are few compatibility issues to be fixed..

And i know this motherboard is old and outdated and almost no one use this in countries like US. But this motherboard still costs more than an average monthly wage of a student like me so i cant even think of upgrading..

PS : its just a suggestion

Let's be clear; this isn't going to happen. The division responsible for these board products was shutdown long ago. There simply are no engineers left to look into the cause(s) behind the incompatibilities and whether a new BIOS could address it. Sorry, this is the reality of the situation...

Hello:

Thank you very much to N. Scott Pearson for the information posted previously.

To Ham09:

I just wanted to confirm the information posted above, that is actually the scenario right now, since Intel does not manufactured motherboards anymore, so the option to create a new BIOS will not be available.

Let me apologize for any type of inconvenience.

Any questions, please let me know.

Alberto
