is there any way to download this driver? I have a very sick family member and narrowly avoided a tragedy when I had to quickly look up medical information. The mouse was inactive due to a USB conflict (obviously related to above driver.)

What is the model number of your processor?
If you do not know, Download, run, and save the results of this utility as a text file:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility
Then ATTACH the text file using the instructions under the reply window ( Drag and drop here or browse files to attach ).

For Windows 7, HP provides you with drivers. Why are you not using them? I found one here: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp56501-57000/sp56907.exe.

This means that the link that I found is to a driver version that is too new for your hardware. You will need to go to the HP site yourself (here: https://support.hp.com/us-en) and enter the information for your laptop and download the USB package that it ends up pointing you to.
