Hello,

I started the vnc server as usual. But when I connected the server, the desktop showed as follows

yzhao56_0-1617292154569.png

I don't ever know the password of my node. Is there something wrong with my node?

Hi yh zhao,

Sorry for the delayed response.

We tried from our end and we faced the same issue. Now we have figured it out.

You have to set password when you start with turbo vnc.Once if you set your password then you will not be asked for password again instead it will generate otp.

To set your password, do the following

1)Enter renderkit compute node with the below command.

qsub -I -l nodes=1:renderkit:ppn=2

2)After entering the node,goto "/opt/TurboVNC/bin" path.

3)From the bin directory, run ./vncpasswd and set your password.

After setting the password you can follow the steps given in the documentation(https://devcloud.intel.com/oneapi/documentation/rendering-toolkit-for-linux/).

Try the above steps and let us know the updates.

We followed the same documentation and tested from our end and it was working. Are you getting any error message? Could you share the screenshot?

We could see that you had posted a similar thread in the below link.

https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-oneAPI-Rendering-Toolkit/cannot-enter-password-remote-desktop/m-p/1306596#M51

We will be addressing your issue in that thread. So could you confirm if we can close this thread?
