Hello,
I was wondering if there is a way to compile a SYCL kernel for a simulator (and run it) on the devcloud.
I don't mean emulation, that works fine.
The instructions for using the "-Xssimulation" flag from this Intel guide don't work:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/documentation/oneapi-programming-guide/top/programming-interface/fpga-flow/evaluate-kernel-through-simulation/compile-a-kernel-for-simulation.html
It seems like ModelSim/Questa cannot be found. I'm getting this error:
aoc: Compiling for Simulator.
Error: Error accessing ModelSim. Please ensure you have a valid ModelSim installation on your path.
Check your ModelSim installation with "vsim -version"
My 2 questions are:
1. Am I doing something wrong or is the simulation flow not supported on the devcloud?
2. If it's not supported, are there plans to support it?
Thank you

Hi,
Good day to you.
Thanks for posting in Intel Communities.
Can you confirm the Intel DevCloud that you are using? Is it Intel DevCloud for oneAPI or Intel DevCloud for Edge or Intel DevCloud for FPGA?
Regards,
Jyothis V James
