ETA for MAX GPUs on DevCloud?

Hi,

I would like to test running a Fortran "do concurrent" code on the new MAX GPUs, but it seems like they are not available on the devcloud yet.

Is there an ETA for their availability?

In the mean time, are the "gen9" or "gen11" GPU nodes the best to use in terms of compiling and running test codes in preparation for using the MAX GPUs?

Thanks!

Hi,

The Max series GPUs should be available by end of Jan 2023.

In the meantime, you can use the current GPUs available: Gen9 & Gen11.

These can be viewed with:

pbsnodes | grep -B4 gpu

Hi,

"should be available by end of Jan 2023"

Does that mean they will be available tomorrow?

Hi,

Sorry for the inconvenience, there will be a delay in the release of the Max series GPU probably by March end.

In the meantime, you can use the current GPUs available: gen9 and gen11.
