Eigen3 installation on Intel Dev Cloud

Greetings,

I am accessing IntelDev Cloud for oneAPI through ssh. Since we don't have access to use sudo command, we are unable to install eigen library through :

sudo apt install libeigen3-dev

Neither could we build it from the source, as the command  "make install"  specified in below reference[1] requires admin privilege.

[1]. https://gitlab.com/libeigen/eigen/-/blob/master/INSTALL .

Are there alternative ways to use eigen library on IntelDev Cloud?

Thank you.

Warm regards,

Nitish

Hi,

I was able to successfully use the eigen library without installation as depicted in method 1 of reference [1].

We can use right away the headers in the Eigen/ subdirectory. In order
to install, just copy this Eigen/ subdirectory to your favorite location.

Thank you.

Warm regards,

Nitish

Hi,

Good day to you

Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.

Sorry for the inconvenience, User's don't have admin privileges, so you cannot use sudo in DevCloud.

Intel DevCloud is a shared environment which comes with pre-installed validated Intel oneAPI software and complimentary packages.

As a policy we do not install custom (open source or 3rd party licensed) software to the environment.

Thank You!
