Hi,
I am using the DevCloud platform to migration CUDA application to DPC++. Since GLIBC 2.29 is required for the application, I linked GLIBC 2.29 while compiling. However, it seems that GLIBC 2.29 is still required to run the binary. It seems that when I tried to add the library path of GLICB 2.29 to LD_LIBRARY_PATH, the system crashed. Could let me know if upgrading GLIBC isn't permitted, or could you help to upgrade the GLIBC version?
Thanks,
Yilin

Hi Alekhya,
Thanks for your reply. I'm not going to use CUDA in DevCloud, actually I have translated from CUDA to DPC++ and want to run the application on DevCloud. So my current focus is how to upgrade GLIBC 2.27 to GLIBC 2.29 on DevCloud, as when I tried to do that, the system seems crashed.

Hi,
We have contacted the admin team and we are sorry to let you know that we cannot upgrade GLIBC 2.27 to 2.29 in DevCloud as there are some dependencies on it.

Alekhya

Hi @Yilin118 ,
We have contacted the admin team regarding this issue. We got an update. We apologize that your issue isn't resolved. But, in DevCloud, we cannot upgrade GLIBC to latest versions as there are some OS dependencies on it. Upgrading it would result in system crash. Those attempts are restricted to do.

Alekhya
