When I use ffmpeg to process video, I am prompted to choose another font, but I do not have root permission to install fonts. What should I do?

Foxbox,
We were not able to get it to fail. I used a generic Chinese srt file and a sample video and was able to add the Chinese subtitles. Can you share the srt file that you are using with me, depending on the size, the video would be helpful as well.
Thanks
Chris

foxbox,
I am having difficulty reproducing your issue. Can you provide me the steps you are using, additionally would it be possible for me to get a copy of that video file? Depending on the file size, please feel free to PM it to me.
Thanks
Chris

I used ffmpeg to add Chinese subtitles to the video. The command was:
ffmpeg -i test.mp4 -i test.srt -c copy output.mkv
test.srt subtitle file contains Chinese
