cannot enter password remote desktop

Unable to enter password and continue. always showing "authentication error". I changed password in vncpasswd as mentioned in post https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-DevCloud/Cannot-enter-the-desktop-by-VNC/m-p/1302462#M2632 but facing same issue.
