How can I upgrade openVINO 2019_R3.1 to 2020.1?

If I install the 2020 version it overwrites the 2019 or do I need to remove 2019 and install 2020?

Hi AGrad3,

Thank you for reaching out.

If you have a previous version of the Intel Distribution of OpenVINO™ toolkit installed on Windows 10, the new version will be installed without overwriting the older one. As a good practice, it would be good if you rename the following directories to identify those that belong to version R3.1:

  • C:\Users\<User_Name>\Documents\Intel\OpenVINO\inference_engine_demos_build
  • C:\Users\<User_Name>\Documents\Intel\OpenVINO\inference_engine_samples_build
  • C:\Users\<User_Name>\Documents\Intel\OpenVINO\openvino_models

If you have a previous version of the Intel Distribution of OpenVINO™ toolkit installed on Linux, you will need to rename or delete these three directories:

  • ~/inference_engine_samples_build
  • ~/inference_engine_demos_build
  • ~/openvino_models

Regards,
