Instruction Sets for the Neural Compute Stick 2 / Myriad X VPU

Hello everyone,

does anyone know if the instruction set architecture or any kind of source code for the Myriad X VPU or the NCS 2 is open source?

For your information, Intel® NCS 2 is being EOL-ed with Last Product Discontinuance Shipment Date on 30 June 2022.Intel will continue to offer NCS2 Support as per the timeline below:

• Technical Support Ends – 30 June 2023
• Warranty Support Ends – 30 June 2024

The suggested immediate replacement product for Intel® Neural Compute Stick 2 (NCS 2) is MX HDDL cards.

On another note, only OpenVINO 2022.3.1 includes the support for NCS 2. You may deploy NCS 2 to run deep learning inference using the Intel® Distribution of OpenVINO™ toolkit with the MYRIAD Plugin. OpenVINO™ toolkit includes the OpenVINO™ samples which are simple console applications that show how to utilize specific OpenVINO API capabilities within an application.
