Hello,
my colleague and I have been attempting to install OpenVINO 2021.4 in Windows 11 using the installer. Unfortunately, the installer crashes due to an ntdll.dll error (see the attached image for details). It is possible to install using PyPi and OpenVINO runs without an issue, however, our software requires OpenVINO to be installed globally, rather than in a virtual environment, to work correctly.
Is it at all possible to install OpenVINO 2021.4 in Windows 11 using the installer? I know Windows 11 is technically not supported in OpenVINO 2021.4, but as I mentioned, it works correctly when installed via PyPi, so I assume the issue is with the installer script only.
Thank you in advance!

Hi Catriona,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Yes, you are correct. OpenVINO™ 2021.4 is not supported on Windows 11. Only Windows 10 is supported for OpenVINO™ 2021.4. You can refer to the OpenVINO™ 2021.4 System Requirements.
For your information, ntdll.dll is a Windows operating system file. The error might be due to an operating system issue. You can try fixing this issue using the following guides. (These are external links and are not maintained by Intel):
On the other hand, I would suggest trying out our latest OpenVINO™ 2022.2 release as it is supported on Windows 11. You can refer to the 2022.2 System Requirements
Regards,
Megat
