Failed to install eii_installer took 1 minutes 49.23 seconds

I have try reinstall python, but still have errors.

Does anyone know some clues to cope with this problem~?

Hi Jerry,

I just installed Edge Insights for Industrial version 2.6.2 on a fresh Ubuntu 18.04 system successfully. Are you using a fresh Ubuntu 18.04 system? Do you see the same error message when re-running the installation?

Could you please share the installation log file? The log file is located in the following directory:

/var/log/esb-cli/Edge_Insights_for_Industrial_2.6.2/eii_installer/install.log

Regards,

Jesus

Hi Jerry,

I am using an Intel NUC with an Intel® Core™ i5-9300H CPU running a fresh Ubuntu 18.04. LTS.

Thanks for sharing the log file! I was able to download and open it, however, it does not have as much information as I was hoping. You mentioned you re-installed python, which python version are you using?

Is it possible for you to try to install the software package on a system with a clean install of Ubuntu 18.04?

Regards,

Jesus

Hello JesusE,

I use command line to see the python version:

python --version  : Python 2.7.17

python3 --version : Python 3.6.9

Thanks.

Hi Jerry4_Liu,

The python versions are the same on my system. I retested today on a fresh OS install and did not run into any issues with the installation. I recommend trying the installation process on a system with a fresh OS (Ubuntu 18.04).

Please give it a try and let me know if you run into any issues.

Regards,

Jesus
