Installing EI for AMR 2023.1 Robot Kit

Hi,

I'm trying to install EI for AMR 2023.1 Robot Kit following "Get Started Guide for Robots".

OS: Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS

      -downloaded from link on Step 1 " 1. Download Ubuntu’s Ubuntu for Intel IoT platforms ISO file to your developer workstation.".

EI for AMR:   2023.1 Robot Complete Kit Recommended Configuration

PC: UP Xtreme i12 Edge

At  "Step 4: Extract the EI for AMR Software", extracted files are edgesoftware and edgesoftware_configuration only.  config.ini is not found.

At "Step 5: Install the EI for AMR Software", our internet connection does not need proxy setting.  I skipped step 1 Set up a proxy.

Step 2-5 are no problem.  Edgesoftware is installed without any problem.  There is no error log in install.log

At step 6 Unpack the example ROS bags archive, following error message is displayed.

amruser@amruser-UPX-ADLP01:~/edge_insights_for_amr$ unzip 01_docker_sdk_env/docker_compose/06_bags.zip -d 01_docker_sdk_env/docker_compose/
unzip: cannot find or open 01_docker_sdk_env/docker_compose/06_bags.zip, 01_docker_sdk_env/docker_compose/06_bags.zip.zip or 01_docker_sdk_env/docker_compose/06_bags.zip.ZIP.

Could you give me any advice ASAP?

Hi RySAP,

Could you confirm which software package and what options you selected when downloading EI for AMR? I just downloaded 2023.1 Robot, Robot Complete Kit and selected Custom Configuration to ensure all components were included. Could you please try that and let me know if that works for you?

Please note that you need to be inside ~/Downloads/edge_insights_for_amr/Edge_Insights_for_Autonomous_Mobile_Robots_2023.1_Robot/AMR_containers directory and run the following command.

unzip 01_docker_sdk_env/docker_compose/06_bags.zip -d 01_docker_sdk_env/docker_compose/

sudo chmod -R 0777 01_docker_sdk_env/docker_compose/06_bags

I solved this issue.

2023.1 Robot Complete Kit Recommended Configuration does not include 06_bags.zip.

I copied 06_bags.zip from 2022.3.1 robot Kit.  

I had to fix some incorrect instructions, but the installation was successful.
