EN63A0QA as constant current source: internal compensation details

Hello,

I would like to use the EN63A0QA "Step-Down DC-DC Switching Converter with Integrated Inductor" device, as a constant current source. In this context, the modification of the feedback loop is necessary, with the addition of a current sensing amplifier.

Can someone from Intel give me the details of the internal compensation network (pole/zeros frequencies, number, implementation), in order for me to design a stable supply system ?

Thanks a lot for your very useful help,

Hello Gilson,

Thanks for your interesting to use EN63A0QA inside your system.

Unfortunately the required information is confidential and we can't expose it.

So to help you in your design, i can provide you with LTSPICE model for that device and you can check your system stability based on the simulation results which will be more easier than doing the calculation.

Please let me know if you inersiteing the LTSPICE model.

Regards,

Mostafa

Note: LTSPICE is a free spice tool created by Analog Devices.

You can download it from the official Analog Devices web site.

Hello Mostafa,

Thanks for your response. I understand your position about the confidentiality of your design.

I would be happy to use your LTSpice simulation model in order to design my system.

Since you are proposing, could you also provide me with the EP53F8QI LTSpice model, which is a converter I will also use in my design for other purposes.

Thanks a lot for providing me the two models ( EN63A0QA and EP53F8QI).

Best regards,

G. Gilson
