EP53F8QI Fault and output shorted to GND

We have a design with an EP53F8QI that multiple ICs have been burned both at room temperature and +80 °.C. We are using it to create a +3.3V and on fault we have found that the +3.3V supply is shorted to GND. We have checked all the capacitors and resistors and they are according to the spec outlined in the data sheet. The only thing we could found is that the GND plane was not routed directly underneath the layer on which the IC was placed much further into the PCB.

Please could you help us with this ?

Also if it is possible to share the startup and shutdown event oscilloscope waveform (Please probe Vout, Vin, Enable).

Any solutions to this - I have the same problem with the EP53F8QI!!

I use the EP53F8QI for different rail without issues except a 3V3 output that can on some boards permanently short to GND. This is a low load rail so it is not a thermal issue - but the only fix is to repair the board by replacing the EP53F8QI.
