Hi, In the cyclone 10 development kit schematics (Doc. number 6XX-44528R) the 0.9V & 3.3V DC2DC are connected to the MAX 10 FPGA via PMBUS. What is the purpose of this interface? Is it mandatory? Thanks! Yossi

PMBus is used to control the external power module.

Hi Vikas,

PMBus is used to control the power management controller. It is meant for controlling power up and power down sequences. Thus, the connection is between MAX Device or Microprocessor Host and Power Management Controller Devices only.
