Regarding PCN#ADV1917 and PCN#117181 - 00. We have received these two PCNs with different alert number but change and affected part list are same. Could you please tell us why for same change two different notice are issued.

Hello Annpurna,

We are sorry for the confusion.

The main PCN process for Enpirion products is still using Altera’s process and will carry the numbering ADV19xx, PCN19xx.

We have recently created a “mirror”/duplicate PCN to start populating Intel’s QDMS system with PSG PCNs.

Unfortunately, we cannot yet migrate fully to Intel’s system due to the 2 years shipment requirement as part of impact analysis.

  • The current system at Intel is only able to capture post integration shipment data which is from July 29,2018.
  • We can only fully migrate after July 29, 2020 (by then, will have 2 years of shipment data).

Moving forward, duplicate PCNs from Intel’s QDMS will specifically state the PSG original PCN number under Description of change.

For this case, You can either reference Intel QDMS PCN#117181 – 00 to ADV1917 or disregard the QDMS document altogether.

Regards,

Mostafa
