What is the maximum current of PVCC and VCC?

I am designing 4x EM2120H02Ql in my board to power my device. For PVCC/VCC 5.0V, I am using one 1.5A 5V LDO to supply to 4x EM2120H02Ql. I need to know this is good enough.

In the datasheet, it only mention 150mA when FSW is running at 1.333MHz for this EM2120H02Ql and it clarifies this is only for information.

In order to ensure the PVCC/VCC of all the 4x EM2120H02Ql are being source with max possible current, I hope to know the my design will run well with single 1.5A 5V LDO.

Thanks.

Hello @KaySeah1 ,

PVCC and VCC current during the switching will be around 150mA (max 200mA), so your 1.5A LDO should be more than enough to bias that 4xEM2120H.

I would recommend to insert 10uF after the ferrite bead that between PVCC and VCC to improve the noise rejection for VCC signal since you will use LDO for biasing.

Hi Mostafa,

I have a 2.2uF capacitor after the ferrite bead. I will switch to 10uF then. Thanks.
