What will be the Input filter connection when using 3xEC2650QI in parallel mode?

Hi,

In my project I connect 3xEC2650QI (1 master, 2 slaves) to get more current/power.

I review AN895 about the additional input filter that require to resolved the ripple issue and my question is what is the right way:

1. Connect one input filter for all the 3xEC2650QI
2. Connect filter for each input of EC2650QI

Is Intel did kind of measurement/tests in parallel connection of EC2650QI and what was the filter connection?

Hello David Ribo,

It is recommended to use the input filter with each EC2650 separately and place them near to the device in the layout to reduce the EMI noise and improve the input voltage ripple.

For the Parallel mode, EC2650 doesn't have an active current balancing circuit and balancing the current between the devices will depend more on the layout itself.
