I'm undergraduate student and beginner of Modelsim.
I have 2 Verliog files, A that design file and the other B that testbench of A.
So in project, I compiled two files and simulate on testbench B.
I use some System tasks such as ($display and $wirte) in B file
so when I simulate the file,
there must be some comment that I write in file in Transcript.
but there is no any comment that I write using $display.
Other part of simulation have no problem but I can't see the comment.
when I first started Modelsim,
"couldn't open "transcript": permission denied" comes up in transcript.
I think it has some relation with my problem.
Please help me
Because I'm undergraduate student, I must do some projects and assignments using modelsim.

Hi Joon Hyeok,
Actually, the error "couldn't open "transcript": permission denied" can be ignored. The transcript is newly generated each time you run your simulation.
The problem you face may be due to a programming error in your testbench file. Can you attach your files here so I can better understand your problem? If your files are confidential, you can attach them in an email; I have just sent you an email regarding this issue.
Can you also let me know what version of ModelSim you are using?
Thanks,
Nurina

Thank you for your answer.
I asked about this problem to my professor
and I got the answer that this problem form my Window OS damaged.
and Pr told me that to solve the problem, format your hardware and reinstall Modelsim or
use virtual window.
So I choose Virtual window.
and the testbench file is made by my professor so it is clear entire.
No problem in testbench file.

Hi Joon Hyeok,
Do you mean that your problem is solved already?
