Questa Not Launching - Fatal License Error

Unable to run Questa Intel FPGA Starter Edition. I have a free license from the Self Service Licensing Center, lmutil lmdiag recognises the license file from LM_LICENSE_FILE environment variables so that all seems set up correctly. No other errors are reported from lmutil lmdiag - not sure how to proceed from here...

Do I need to have Quartus Prime Pro of the same version as the Questa tool installed? Currently I am one behind (22.3) on my Quartus.

You should be able to open Questa without the Quartus installed.

Could you check whether the license.dat file HOSTID is matched with your machine?
