@KennyTan_Altera  the link is asking to delete the following folder on the computer

1. "~/mw " .

2.  " /tmp/mw_<username>"

I don't hava "~/mw " or a " /tmp/mw_<username>" directory on my computer.

So the problem is still unresolved.

Can you try the below?

cd to home/<user>/.altera.quartus  rename the quartus2.ini and quartus2.req for linux

and reopen the quartus. this will reset the initial setting of the quartus prime.

you can rename it to anythings. This renaming purposes is just for backups in case you need it back in the future.

Hello,

I have exacly the same problem using Ubuntu 24.04 and Quartus Prime lite 23.1. It is impossible to apply any change since I cannot see the buttons.

I tried what was explained above but I cannot find directory with the name mentioned. Also, I could not find the quartus2.ini and I the command "cd to home/<user>/.altera.quartus" tell me that this directory does not exist (I do not see it too).

Is there anything else I could do ? I mean, I could not follow any of the given instruction as it does not apply to me looks like. I mostly tried to change settings in Ubuntu but nothing worked.

Thank you in advance for your answer !

For the information, after very long hours of trying to fix this issue, I finally just arrived to the conclusion that the easiest way is to see the buttons is to connect an additional screen to my laptop (which is old and have a low resolution).

On the bigger screen, I could see the buttons and start working. However, I am still keen on knowing how to solve the issue because it is not the most practical to do this in my configuration.
