DE2-70 interface to PIC16F887

Hi,  

I am trying to make the communication between Altera DE2-70 board to PIC16F887 by RS232. I am using Nios II (IP Cores) on the Altera DE2-70, and it can communicate with computer without problem, but when I do it with PIC16F887, it does not understand each other. Any one has any idea how to do it. By the way the communicate between DE2-70 board and PIC16F887 via MAX232 chip.
