I would like to get (buy) a reference book for IVF. Not really a language reference, but rather a sort of user's guide. Just to give an example of what I would expect to find in such a book, I can mention the problem of creating a GUI (QuckiWin?) for Input/Output. The online help is not really helpful if one has to start from the scratch: I always used console, no experience with QuickWin. My programs are really simple but today a user does not want to write an input file, he wants a dialog with radio buttons and text fields. I do not have the time to learn how API (right term?) work, but I need to offer a slim and easy dialog. No commercial purpose, it's just some (simple) scientific calculation.
Can somebody suggest a book where I can find this type of help without having to first learn all the machinery behind a GUI?
Many thanks in advance.

You might also look at Jugoslav Dujic's xeffort library as well as the sample programs that are installed along with the compiler.
