My legacy fortran code written in F77 used to work OK in Compaq Visual Fortran 6.6. But I lost the orginigal CVF CD so can not re-install CVF 6.6 on my recovered machine. After alot of attemps it seems that migrating to Intel Fortran is not possible.
Do you know if I can buy a license of CVF 6.6 anyhow?
Thanks

HP (which bought out Compaq) stopped selling CVF many years ago. Your only sources for buying CVF would be individuals who sell on places such as eBay, and you would be buying a decade old computer with no support.
Many users (myself included) have migrated their programs from CVF to Intel and other Fortran compilers. Sometimes the migration only needs choosing compiler options to match the behavior of the CVF compiler. In other instances some modifications may be needed.
Please read these notes: Migrating from CVF , and tell us what problems you encounter. If, having done so, you still hold to the conclusion that "migrating to Intel Fortran is not possible", please show a small example code to justify that position. Seeing such an example code would enable us to help you to make the transition to Intel Fortran.
