Dear those that know,
I may be going blind, but I cannot find

CompilerPatchHowTowin.txt

on the intel Premium site. A clue would be appreciated

I'll check when I get back to work tomorrow. However, there's very little to it. You do have to have installed the "baseline" version - if you see a patch named something like w_fc_pc_8.0.050_pe053.1, that means it is the 053 patch that must be applied to the 8.0.050 base install. It is (supposed to be) ok if you have installed intermediate patches (such as 052).

Make sure that you have the IDE not running. Just run the .exe and follow the prompts. There's not much to it.
