I can see external variables when I'm in an internal subroutine. I'm using VS 2005 with the latest Intel compiler. I was always able to do this using CVF. What's the deal? Do I have a setting wrong?

It's a compiler bug and is being worked on. Please report the problem to Intel Premier Support so that you can get a fix as soon as it is available.

Just as an add on. How can Intel sell this product if it can't perform basic debugging functions that were available in CVF? My company has bought man license with the plan to migrate from CVF but if the debugger doesn't work, than I will have to suggest abandoning that proposal. I'm really confused, watching variables would seem to be a basic function that you couldn't sell the software without. Furthermore, when searching these forums it seems that this problem has been around since at least 2004! three years and no solution? How many people work there? 1?

The problem is limited to "up-level" referenced variables, those visible by host association. To report the problem to Intel Premier Support, start here.
