This morning on the Lakeland Cam , a photographic site dedicated to the Lake District in England.
There is a quotation from Einstein that I thought well applied to writing Fortran code for any compiler. We are broadminded on this site and accept all dialects.
If you are wondering how the Lake District is relevant to this site, the pencil comes from graphite mines in the district and pencils are good to mark up preliminary versions of punch cards, or so I remember from the late 1970s. At the time the library had a little computer with a punch card reader and a dot matrix printer and was about as big as book box, I was wondering what computer it was likely to be.
If you are out to describe the truth, leave elegance to the tailor.
Albert Einstein
