I'm trying to install version 9.1.024 on Leopard, and any attempt to open the installer is greeted with the error message given above.
The most common cause of this error that I can find is the process table being full but that definitely doesn't apply on this system. Does anyone know of any other problem that may prevent the installer from running?
Thanks.

The 9.1 release does not support Leopard. Only the 10.1 release supports Leopard. You should obtain the latest 10.1 update, m_fc_p_10.1.015.dmg, from the Intel Registration Center and install that.
If the Error - 10810 persists, then you may wish to consult this thread from Apple Support Discussions

Thanks - I was afraid that that would be the answer.
Since I require 9.1 and not 10.1 then it looks like I will have to use a Tiger machine (I still have one around, just in case).
