Fail to install Intel Parallel Studio XE Fortan 2016 update 4

I have the issue that I cannot proceed with the online-installation of parallel studio XE 2016. They issue arrives quite early on when dowloading required media for the installation. It starts to complain about failing to dowload the data1.cab file, pssibly due to network connection problems. See image below. I'm pretty sure that my network connection is not the issue.

Is there any workaround for this problem?

Usual advice is to download the full installer rather than the online installer, and try that.

It would be on the same Intel Registration Page as the online installer, but the 2016 version is no longer listed. Why do you want a five year old version? I recommend using the free oneAPI version instead.

The latest release .2 of the ONEAPI is really simple to install.
