I understand that somewhere around update 5 of IVF12 that there was a change to how the integration with Visual Studio occured and how the file was dealt with. Using Update 7, I am seeing that as I edit files that IVF/DevStudio are taking up to 100% of my CPU as it says it is 'parsing' the file I am currently working on as I type. I made note of a similar behavior a few weeks back in this post, but since it only occured when I opened a project and was done after a few minutes, I did not pay it much attention.
I have been using Update 7 for a while now, but haven't been doing much more than debugging (I do like some of the new debugging features though). Now that I am writing new code again, it is really irritating to have the editor pauses/hang for about a second every dozen or so characters so that it can re-parse the file for some information. Is there anyway to turn this behavior off, or can anyone tell me if it has been updated/improved in Update 8?

Cant say for sure, but I think I saw the options for controling this behaviour in FORTRAN editor settings in Tools Options menu.

You can turn off some of the intellisense features, by going to: Tools> Options > Text Editor > All Languages > General and unchecking "Auto list members" and "Parameter information" This should help some.

What you want is Tools, Options, Text Editor, Fortran, Advanced. I have not observed the behavior you do, however.
