Hi.
I'm trying to install Fortran 6.0 on win XP 32 bit. At the end of the installation it says that it cannot create the folder"Comaq visual fortran 6" and the installation stops.
I tried, then, to create the folder manually as it suggests but the same problem persists.
What can I do?

Some of the newer Windows versions make it difficult for non-administrator users to write to C:\ and C:\Program Files, C:\Windows\...
Locate the installation program, then instead of double-click to launch, use Right-Click (or Left-Click if you have left hand mouse), then select "Run As Administrator". You will need to know the administrator password for this.

XP doesn't have that issue. Try copying the install CD to the hard disk and running X86\Setup.exe there.
