Getting the NetCDF-Fortran library to build in Visual Studio 2013

I have been trying to build a program that uses the NetCDF-Fortran library but as far as I can tell there is no official method of building it with Visual Studio on Windows. Has anyone found a way to build it with VS 2013?

Yes, but with some functionality missing. Search this forum and you should find posts with older versions of the Fortran library/DLL attached. See https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/intel-visual-fortran-compiler-for-windows/topic/542630#comment-1816679 .

At Unidata, the Fortran interfaces seem to be given step-child treatment, C users being the favorite target.
