Hello,

IVF V8 Installation questions:

1) Computer is Dell 1705, CPU:Intel Core Duo 2 T7200 (2GHz) with 2GB Memory
2) OS is Vista.
3) VS 2005 SP1

Can I install IVF on this computer? Which option should I choose? IA32, Itanium? Do I need to install MS Platfom SDK? Will the complier integrate with the VS2005 environment automatically or do I need to set it up? Thank you for these naive questions.

V8, eh? Intel Fortran 8.0 does not support VS2005. Assuming that you are using the 32-bit version of Windows (and not "x64"), then "IA-32" would be correct, but the compiler install will complain that it cannot find a supported version of Visual C++ and nothing you do will get the Visual Studio integration to work.

You need version 9.1 and then you should read the "sticky" thread in this forum on use with Vista.
