Intel Fortran version 11 for the Mac

I have purchased the latest Intel Fortran Composer XE 2011 for the Mac; however, I really want to install Intel Fortran version 11 for the Mac. I was told that this installer offers the option to install the earlier version. Is that right, and how would I do that? I also purchased the Intel Composer XE for C/C++ but that installer did not offer the option of installing the earlier version. So I'm beginning to doubt that I can install the earlier version of Fortran. Any thoughts?

No, if the Mac installer is similar in structure to those for Windows and Linux. Intel allows you to download and install an older version than the latest one that your license is for, but each version has its own installer.

I do not have a Mac, and the following suggestion is based on assuming that the Mac installer is similar to those for other platforms.

Login at the Registration Center, and select the "search for older versions" box. You should see a list of installers, one of which may be named something similar to M_CPROF_P_11.1.089.DMG. The parts of the name reveal the target (M: Mac), product (CPROF: Fortran compiler), version (11.1) and release (089). Download and install the version that you want.

Make sure to read the ReleaseNotes for the 11.1 compiler, and get the latest 11.1 version (Update 8). The Release Notes are kind of dated - the 11.1 Update 8 compiler should work fine with Mac OS X 10.6.6 and Xcode 3.2.5. Don't try this with Xcode 4 - it may work, but that has not been tested.
