To use the Microsoft Visual Studio development environment or command-line tools to build IA-32 or Intel 64 architecture applications using Intel Visual Fortran you may use Visual Studio 2008 Standard Edition or higher.

I do not fully understand your inquiry about project conversion, but as it relates to converting existing CVF projects, conversion is necessary so please refer to the Migrating from CVF Knowledge Base link (also available at the top of this forum).
