I am currently using Compaq Visual Fortran 6.6B to compile and execute FORTRAN 90/95 source routines that I write, together with IMSL subroutines that are included in the Compaq package, on my (old) Lenovo T21 laptop under Windows 2000.
I wish to migrate my FORTRAN source routines (including links to IMSL software) to my new Lenovo X300 laptop with 4 GB RAM and an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU L7100 @ 1.2 GHz (32 bit) under Windows Vista Business. I would prefer to continue using the Microsoft Developer studio editor.
Please confirm that the Intel Visual Fortran Compiler 11.0 Professional Edition with IMSL will operate on my Lenovo X300 laptop. Are you aware of any serious obstacles in migrating FORTRAN source routines from the Compaq compiler to the Intel compiler?
Thanks!

The Lenovo X300 meets the requirements for Intel Visual Fortran, assuming you have 1GB of RAM or more. Please read Migrating from Compaq Visual Fortran for porting information. If after reading that you have more questions, ask here.
