Hello
At my faculty department of chemical engineering they switched from fortran to matlab some years ago. Matlab is easier but it does not have the beauty of fortran. I will never change to code in fortran. Recently I had to solve some ordinary differential equations (ODE) and I made a quick search to find the new methods. I found that Matlab implements a new method based on NDF's (numerical differentiation formulas) instead of the BDF (gear method). I saw a comparison between the two methods and it seems that Matlab method is more accurate. I tried to find a fortran suite that implements ODE based in NDF's methods and I couldn't find any. Does any anyone knows about a fortran code based on this method?
thanks in advance
Peter
