Missing IVF environment facility in VS2008 Tools/Options for IVF 11.1.046

After upgrading from IVF 10.0.74 to 11.1.046 by using the VS 2008 shell version, the Intel disappear from the Tools/Options. However, the Online Help still states that there should be Intel facility listed there to specific paths for Lib and Include!

I checked all 3 steps in this article.. nothing works! Any help is very welcome!

TIA

You started reporting an issue about VS2008 but showed the info for VS2005. Your VS2008 screenshot indicated no Visual C++ items either. What does Tools > Options show for VS2005 now? In VS2008, can you create a Visual C++ project?

Sorry about the confusion!

1. I started off with the IVF 11.1.046 install kit with vs2008 shell - as reported at the beginning of the thread.

2. Then, I reversed back to vs2005 professional (with C++ 64 bit tools) and IVF 11.1.048 with no vs shell. The following is the current info:

You don't have Visual C++ or Visual Basic in there either. I suggest you uninstall everything and start over.

Steve,

I tried out the latest IVF 11.1.051 and finally found out what happens! There is "Show All Settings" check box at the bottom of the VS 2005 or VS 2008 Options (how come I never notice that! :P), but it is unchecked by default. Therefore, the IVF option was not displayed "by default". Once the "Show All Settings" checked, all other option settings including the one for IVF show up!

Funny thing is the above check box does not show up on my laptop but only on my desktop using the same install file w_cprof_p_11.1.051.exe and same steps for installation. I wonder why!? ...but I'm glad it works now!

Thanks,
George

George,

I'm glad to hear it. I recall having seen a mention of that checkbox before but I had forgotten it. I don't see it on my system. It would be a Visual Studio thing, not Intel Fortran.
