Hello everybody and best wishes for a good new year 2016!
I thought before trying out, I ask here about opinions with a IMSL-compatibility topic. We have licenced Intel Parallel Studio XE Composer Edition 2013 with IMSL, and all runs fine in Microsoft Studio 2010.
Now we want to change generally to Studio 2015, and Parallel Studio XE 2013 will not work as I think. So I checked our support-account and I am able to load the newest Intel Parallel Studio XE Composer 2016 with our licence. My question is now, will i be able to run there also projects using IMSL as static libraries? And if yes, also in IMSL Version 6 ? Is there any official info before I start and try out to download and install Composer 2016 with studio 2015?
Thanks a lot and greetings from Germany

Please clarify if the IMSL that you have is a version obtained from Roguewave or through Intel. The IMSL version obtainable from Intel is 7.0.1, whereas Roguewave sells 7.1.
Generally, I have found IMSL 6 and 7 to work fine with Intel and other Fortran compilers, but then I use IMSL mostly from the command line. There were some minor problems with incompatible module files a few years ago, but those problems have been fixed, and occurred only if you used the Fortran 90+ interfaces to the IMSL library routines.

You can continue to use the IMSL you have with the newer compiler. However, if you have put in a directive for the static OpenMP library libiomp5mt.lib, you will have to change this to reference libiomp5md.lib (the DLL library).

Thanks for this link, but I think I had this problem not. Visual Fortran Composer XE 2013 SP1 I used allready (update 6 ) and I had no problems. I will try out soon the Composer 2016, lets see. It should integrate in Visual studio 2015, right?
